Join us on an exciting journey. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch a full-scale production plant in China.

Scania has taken the strategic decision to set-up a 3rd industrial hub in China and a Södertälje based project to develop and implement full scale production set up has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of a transmission plant.

We are looking for an engineer with passion and competence to together with the team build up the gearbox assembly test processes in China. We will use the best practices within Scania and the Traton group to leverage experience and reach top quality performance. To accomplish this, we will work in cross-functional teams with highly skilled employees and visit suppliers and production plants to define and design the test processes. An important part of the work will be the procurement of new test cells with the ability to follow the master plan and the specifications from existing Scania test cells. When it comes to building and launching the test processes, we will be onsite in Rugao, China to set up the production with the local team.

As a test engineer, you will be a part of the Engineering Gearbox Assembly Department which will consist of approximately 18 co-workers. The China project team is based in Södertälje. However, flexible work location is applied. Business trips abroad and to China occur.

By others, you might be described as a problem solver, a fast learner, analytical, and a communicative team player.

In addition, you have likely:

  • a bachelor- or master's degree within engineering
  • a couple of years of experience from the automotive industry
  • experience from setting up test benches, analyzing requirements and creating test specifications.
  • knowledge in programming and communication protocols

Since the corporate & project language is English and you will have many international contacts, it is required that you can confidently express yourself in English, both orally and in writing.
